Event Description

If it's been a while since you've been on your bike then come and join me for a cruise around the Royal National Park. There will be no world record land speeds set on this ride, i'm 5mths pregnant so it will be nice and steady and i'll be doing my best to avoid any steep hills, i'll be looking for fun single track!

Meet at Loftus Oval carpark which is off the Princess Hwy at Loftus. Make sure your bike is in working order and bring some water.

Please RSVP if you are coming along so we know to expect you.

TBSM are also holding a demo day on Sunday TBSM DEMO FLEET from 8am to 11am so if you want to try a few bikes before the rider feel free to. there will be a couple of small sizes and mediums.

You have to make the decision - over belly or under belly ;) Seeing as it is coming into winter, belly coverage is vital!

Invest in the fatest, softest seat (you prolly wont be wearing knicks for much longer - it is hard to find a pair that would be comfortable for the short time you would be wearing them. However you will need a fat, soft seat for a month or two afterwards) and de-gas/super plump your suspension. Your lungs will start to be squashed, you have too much blood and feel way too heavy, so it is sit down from here on end.

That said, riding in pregnancy was a great way enjoy those crisp days :) Don't stop because people brow-beat you into feeling like you are doing something stupid. Stop only if you feel it gets too much (oh and you have to listen to your body carefully!)

Good on you Montana! Absolute Champ!

So woke up this morning and it was a sensational autumn day outside, perfect for riding. I got my riding gear out, put on the SR jersey which still fitted but was a little on the tight side around the boob and belly area! Knicks were ok cause they stretch but when I put on my usual Royal riding shorts well there was no way those press studs were going to close so had to pull out some other shorts that just did up. Lucky my shoes are the ratchet style so no issues with doing up the shoes. Helmet glasses gloves camelback and bike I was ready to ride. Said goodbye to my nan and aunt ( who were a little unsure about me riding) and jumped on the bike and pedalled towards RNP. I was puffing a bit on the way to the loftus carpark and wondered how I'd go once actually on the track. Fiona and Michael turned up and while michael went and demoed some of TBSms bikes Fiona and I went for a cruise around the trails. I'd said to myself before the ride to take it easy and avoid any tech bits but once on the bike I just wanted to ride ( even if it was a slower pace) and loved going fast (as I could) down the single track.
Thanks Fiona for the company. I think the only thing holding me back from riding till late in my pregnancy is whether I can fit into my shorts or not!
